Is it legal to use images off of a google search in my blog?

January 3rd, 2010

I have a blog and I often use images I find after conducting a google image search for my posts. Is this legal? If not, how can I use these images legally, and where can I get images legally? Thanks everyone.

I guess it would be best to email Google that question – These days people are quick to instigate legal action for stupid things that will bring in cash !
    Good luck !

Search for " Royalty Free Images " Those are free to use for any purpose. you can find this kind of images in stock image sites like gettyimages.com

If talking in terms of Google TOS. It’s absolutely wrong and illegal to use these kind of images in your blog. Of course people worldwide doing though.

But my suggestion is you can use these images without any problem. in the bottom of your blog give a disclaimer. And try to use images which are not mentioned copyright protected inside the image.

There’s always – in my experience – some kind of notifier at the base of these graphics which takes you to a website where you can get them for a price.
