How can I drive more traffic to my railroad blog?
December 18th, 2009
My husband was hired by a Class 1 Railroad in September and has been training to be a conductor since October. He’s been getting trained in rules, operations, etc. I’ve found it fascinating, and have been blogging about our new life as a railroad family. I have another blog where I share inside secrets about surviving the training period, study tips, etc. How can I drive traffic to these blogs? Are there railroad blog indices that would be interested in linking to my blog?
Here are links to my blogs:

There is lots that you can do to get more traffic to your blog.
You need to register your blog with the search engines eg: http://www.google.com/addurl
You should use keyword rich content in order to be better indexed by search engines (in your case use words like ‘railroad’ etc frequently so that when someone goes onto google and search for railroad then google knows that your site is relevant)
You should join blogger communities like www.bloggerforum.com and be active, put your url in your signature so there are lots of links to your site on the net.
Write articles for ezines with links to your site.
use back links from yahoo answers etc to boost your search engine rankings – like this one:

Get other blogs to put links to your site.
The key to traffic is the search engines. keep them happy and you will go far.
