    I had a hard time understand why my blanket on one side was starting to curve towards the center, I wasn’t going over 3 rows. I was told to do a 3 chain on the end and then start, not to go over 3 rows. This is much easier to follow! Thank you!

    Thanks for the video, I had tried directions from a book and was really confused. Then I watched this, and it made crocheting seem much more easy. I’m now crocheting single stitch! =)

    we love you aunt ester<3 we have a crocheting project with three generations and we were hopeless, desperate about to go into the fetal position with our crochet hooks and balls of yarn but then! aunt ester came to the rescue we felt like we were in your home and you walked us through hand in hand stitch by stitch….. the 2nd generation(aunt casey) is now making a 20 foot long blanket =D she’s so inspired…we love you, never stop posting videos! we’re you’re biggest fans!!

    I can understand her method, but I personally prefer holding the “chain” in my right hand, wrap around the yarn with the left hand, and then bring the chain up and over the yarn using my right hand.

    I can’t thank you enough for posting these videos for starting crochet blankets. As a kid, when my grandma was alive, she made blankets for me and taught me how to start the first row in making one. Unfortunately, she passed away and I never got to learn how to continue on to the second row. A good video was hard to find. Thanks for showing a great demonstration. Have a nice day. =)
