I would never have thought it was possible nor would I have had the courage to apply as a freelance MUA if I hadn’t watched this video!!! Thank you!!!! I graduated from …
I graduated from cosmetology school. I have done makeup a few times. I don’t got my license because well i never went or my test,but i did graduated school. I have done make on people maybe a few times. Never thought about doing freelance ,but maybe it would be good as a side job. Would my chances be slimmer if i didn’t have any recommendations since I’d be starting out?

i am in the process of getting my card.
i have a client writing a letter of recommendation for me but i keep hearing that they no longer accept letters from clients, but only from companies. Is this true? Because I don’t want to waste mine and my clients time if it’s not going to work. personally if that’s true i don’t think that it is fair.

yes its true, I tried with one and they didn’t accept it, it has to be from a company/job with their letterhead; it can’t be from a client

i’ve done weddings …
i’ve done weddings and i got two women to right letters of recommendations. One used a family letter with her and her husbands info and the other used one with just her name but explained in good detailed what I did…do u think thats good enough?

Any Canadians out there that have applied?? I sent my stuff in just after our Sept. long weekend so just over a week ago… How long has it taken Canadians out there that have applied? Will let you know, either way, when I know anything from MAC! fingers crossed!!!

Hey swatchmeupbuttercup! I sent in all my things on august 6th. and I got my card exactly three weeks later on august 27th. I used a money order so I can’t help you with that question. You should be getting your stuff soon enough, though! congrats!!!!!!

People were always saying its hard to get a Mac Pro Card, but in hindsight, i dont even think they had applied, well i did after watching this vid and gues what? a month later and i am getting 40% off EVERYTHING! cant thank you enough for the great info! good luck in all your future endeavors –

I’m sorry you feel like this but everyone is intitled to their opinion – I AM A FREELANCE MUA – nope, not professionally schooled but neither is 3/4 of the population
If MAC was so concerned about just anybody getting this discount they wouldn’t basically throw it at you at IMATS where ANYBODY can attend so please get off your high horse and stop thinking you r better than the rest of us – YOUR NOT
